FAQ/Knowledge
French and German and other languages
International translation agency Fasttranslator mainly looks after its customers in the UK and Ireland with translations from and into:
Europe is definitely our home market. This market has more than 300 million people whose mother tongue is either German or French. Not surprisingly, these languages are therefore the ones we work with most often. Our translators translate an average of 200,000 words into these languages every day. This includes translations both from and into these languages. With our vast experience and with more than twenty thousand translation projects in these language combinations under our belt, we now have an enormous database with detailed information on all our translators. We have the right person in place for any dialect, any subject and any deadline. This is not only very pleasing to us, but you can certainly also benefit from our experience. The efficient use of our database allows us to immediately see which translator is most suitable for translating your document and whether he or she is currently available. This means we do not need to pass on any additional project management costs, so with our translation agency you need only pay for the translation itself.
We have produced separate pages for these biggest languages in order to provide you with some more detailed information:

We also have a separate page with information on the history and the current use of the German language: Information regarding the German language, plus you can certainly also contact us if you simply have a question regarding the German market or language use, or perhaps about striking the right tone in general.
French is another major language we specialise in. Our large numbers of customers in France and the French speaking part of Belgium have resulted in us knowing exactly what a translation needs to satisfy. We will always translate every document with consideration for the country in which it will eventually be used. There are minor differences in French, particularly in Belgium and France, which could have major consequences. A brochure prepared in French for Belgium (Wallonia) would certainly not have the required effect if it were used to storm the French market. We may be the best possible party to assist you with entering new markets like these, as we are fully aware of the differences between these two language variants and we know what the customer wants. You can find more information on our second language (the French language) here: French translation service
You can find more information regarding our French translation services here. French translation service
In addition to these three languages, we also have translators in place for Italian, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Japanese, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian, as well as all other EU languages. Please follow the steps in the quote form on the right of your screen to request a translation quote. You can also Email your document to us for a free quotation.
